Violin Lessons with Liz Aylor

We’re pleased to host violin teacher Liz Aylor, who is using our facilities to offer private lessons for a time. Perhaps one of her students will go on to bless a congregation through music ministry. Here at our church, music has always held a treasured role in Lutheran worship—lifting hearts in praise and drawing us closer to God's Word. The violin’s expressive sound is a beautiful way to glorify God and serve in worship. Let music be your ministry!

LWML Women's Bible Study

The chief advantage of a Bible study (in contrast to sermons, classes, and personal study) is interaction. Here are five good reasons to participate: 1. To take ownership of your God given faith; 2. To develop Biblical insights and/or understandings; 3. To support your church and/or the people in the study; 4. To make new friends, and/or to deepen existing friendships; 5. To grow in the life and mission of the church.

Speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) is easier said than done. We live in a time when abortion is called a “right” and a “choice,” when assisted suicide is called “compassion,” when sex outside of marriage is called “natural” and “safe.” It is a time when gender ideology insists the genders are interchangeable and misgendering someone is called “hate speech.” Our intent is to counter these lies in love with the truth of God’s Word.

Reformation Picnic

We are celebrating the Reformation with a congregational picnic, live action drama, Lutheran trivia, pumpkin carving, and fellowship. The first act of our three act play starts at Noon. The conclusion of that first act will signal the start of the picnic.

The Reformation commemorates the rescue of the Gospel (Faith alone, Grace alone, Scripture alone, Christ alone, All Glory to God alone) from a corrupt medieval church. The catalyst for the reformation was the Oct 31, 1517 posting on the door of the Wittenberg Church a disputation protesting clerical abuses and the sale of forgiveness.

In Christmas Village at the North Pole, preparations last year-round. Each year, the Christmas Icon award honors the top holiday helper with prizes and a Hall of Fame spot. Rumors swirl between Icy the Snowman and the Gingerbread Man. As Santa’s big night nears, townsfolk prepare for Mrs. Claus’s grand celebration, filled with carols, cheer, and festive rivalry.
